Sarah Sebaoun

piano instructorSarah Sebaoun
Sarah Sebaoun is a piano performer and teacher in NYC. She has been playing and studying piano in institutions such as the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music since a young age. Her main focus is Classical piano, but has also received training in jazz as a young student. She has received multiple scholarships, accolades and completed her master’s degree in piano performance at Hunter College where she also studied music for her undergraduate degree. She has studied under the tutelage of Gary Hammond and Geoffrey Burleson and performed for renowned pianists and educators such as Yves Henry, Seymour Bernstein and William Wolfram. She has performed as a soloist, collaborative and in chamber groups in various venues in NYC and Europe. Sarah’s passion also includes relating and educating her students with her in depth knowledge and experience with piano. She also studied opera and the voice as an instrument in order to better communicate lyrical singing and expressive virtuosity to her students. Her philosophy as a teacher is that any student from any musical background can become a great musician as long as the teacher works to inspire passion and knowledge and the student reciprocates that with dedication to practicing music as an art form. In addition to her commitment to relating this great piano tradition to her students, she is currently also working on a number of classical and contemporary music projects solo and with other professional musicians.
