Instructor Profile

Noam Rapoport is a pianist and composer born in Tel Aviv, Israel, and based in NYC. In 2021, Noam graduated with honors from The New School, receiving his BFA in Jazz Performance. With more than 20 years of piano training and a versatile background in many musical styles as a composer and a performer, Noam’s music ranges from large classical orchestral scores to modern jazz arrangements. His music is focused on putting emotions at the forefront with a unique sense of storytelling. Noam has performed with his jazz trio (the Noam Rapoport Trio) and as a solo performer, and sideman in various genres and styles, including classical music, jazz, R&B, pop, funk, and more. He performed in venues such as the Bronx Music Heritage Center and the Greenwich Village Walker Hotel. With more than seven years of teaching experience, Noam implements a teaching style that is focused on the student’s needs, technique, and musical expression with engaging and active lessons designed to help the student reach their full potential. Noam has taught a range of age groups from as young as 3 to 80 years old. Noam is also experienced in preparing students for ABRSM tests and other music performance and theory tests.
