Each year, Natalia Huang Piano Studio organizes an event where certain students are chosen to perform with a modern dance company located in New York. This year, 60 talented pianists will take the stage along two dance groups.
J CHEN PROJECT, which is led by Jessica Chen, to perform onstage during the event. The modern dance studio is based in New York City and has performed at venues across the country since its launch in 2008. The company has received high reviews in The Examiner, InfiniteBody, and TheDanceEnthusiast and has been featured in Center Stage Theater, PMT Dance, and other noteworthy industry publications.
Brown Girls Do Ballet works to promote diversity in the arts by way of yearly scholarships, community efforts, and a mentor network to empower girls. Brown Girls Do Ballet will be sending three of their ambassadors to dance onstage alongside pianists and the dancers from J CHEN PROJECT.
Natalia Huang Piano Studio was launched in 2008 by pianist Natalia Huang. Now, the studio has locations in Manhattan, New York; Los Angeles, California; and Greenwich, Connecticut. Huang is thrilled to announce her studio’s upcoming event and looks forward to further sharing the art forms of dance and music with New York.
During the upcoming event, 60 piano students will be paired together to play duets. Music from three living composers, Patrizio Trivellini, Chris DeAngelis, and Manuele Carli Ballola, will be featured. All three composers are instructors at Natalia Huang Piano Studio. Dancers from J CHEN PROJECT and Brown Girls Do Ballet will dance while students play these original compositions on the piano.
